Granshaw's Flowers was founded in 1922 by Art and Olive Granshaw. The shop was part of the old Martinez Hotel Building on Main Street.

In 1946 Andrew Kreiss and Robert Schulz purchased Granshaw's Flowers and in the early 50's hired Will Hall as a delivery boy.

In 1957, Will and his wife Fran purchased Granshaw's Flowers. Over the next 5 decades, both of their children, Linda and John, worked at various times with their parents to provide excellent service to the Martinez community. The shop moved from its original location down to the corner of the block at 837 Main in the 1960's.

In 1997, Will and Fran's son, John, and his wife Adela, took over running the day to day operations of Granshaw's Flowers. Their excellent floral design work can be seen on this web site and they have also increased the gift lines offered making Granshaw's your full service flower and gift shop.

Granshaw's Flowers has been part of Martinez for over 85 years. If you're in the area, please come in and say hello. While semi-retired, Fran and Will can often be found helping out around the shop and all of the Halls would love to see you.

Granshaw's Flowers will continue to serve Martinez and the outlying areas providing the highest quality flowers and gifts and giving each creation the personal touch that has made Granshaw's one of Contra Costa County's premiere florists.
